Truth and Reconciliation Day

An important moment for all Canadians

Truth and Reconciliation Day is an important moment for all Canadians to reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools and colonialism on Indigenous peoples. At the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy, we recognize that reconciliation requires more than words—it demands a commitment to listening, learning, and taking action to build stronger, more inclusive communities.

As an organization led by an Indigenous CEO, we are especially mindful of the importance of truth, healing, and respect. Today, and every day, we stand in solidarity with survivors, families, and communities, and we honour the resilience of Indigenous peoples. We recommit ourselves to working toward equity, accessibility, and reconciliation, guided by the values of dignity and respect for all.
